The first issue of this magazine, which is sold by homeless people, was published in September 2008 and since then it is published four times a year.
Its price is €1.3 per copy and a half of that amount covers costs of printing and a half goes to sellers.
The quarterly magazine is sold in the streets of Rijeka, Zagreb, Zadar, Pula and Varaždin.
Articles in the paper are prepared by authors from various professions who comment on the issue of homelessness and problems bothering marginalised groups from the point of view of their respective professions
The idea about such magazine was launched by Siniša Pucić, who was a journalist of the Novi List at the time and a member of the Secular Franciscan Order in Trsat. In the meantime Pucić left journalism and became a priest.
Recently, a busload of homeless people from Croatia made a pilgrimage to Rome to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the “Street Lamps” magazine, the Vatican News reported. They also attended the Wednesday General Audience with Pope Francis.
