Members of the Croatian Army and the Support Command have been in Slovenia since 8 August, in the municipalities of Lubno, Nazarje, Luče and Rečica and on the river Savinja, where they helped, among other things, to transport material, build embankments, clear out debris.
"I thank all Croatian soldiers for demonstrating once again the readiness of the Croatian army for a quick and timely reaction. They have demonstrated great organisation and that everyone can always depend on the Croatian army," Defence Minister Mario Banožić said in a press release.
Members of the Croatian army in Slovenia will return to Slovenia at the beginning of September, when about 40 members of an engineering unit will be engaged in the construction of a 27.43-metre-long "Bailey M-1" bridge in the village of Lačja Vas and the village of Potok at the site of a collapsed bridge.
