The minister said that her ministry and the government, in addition to regular incentives for horse breeding and other activities in the farm sector, paid special attention to original and autochthonous horse breeds.
"During the term of the Andrej Plenković government, more than €20 million has been invested in horse breeding alone... plus around €17 million in original and autochthonous breeds," Vučković said.
Vozočašće is a beautiful and valuable event, the minister said, thanking horse breeders for keeping horse breeding alive and preserving original and autochthonous breeds.
Krapina-Zagorje County head Željko Kolar, who also attended the event, said that Vozočašće is an example of how faith and love of animals create and protect tradition.
"It is owing to the county association of horse breeders 'Krapina' and our farmers who breed and love horses and owing to their friends from all over Croatia, as well as Austria, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries, that we have this great event for which an invitation is no longer necessary," said Kolar, recalling that Vozočašće is held on the first Sunday after the Feast of the Assumption.
