ZAGREB, 11 July (Hina) - The ceremony of raising the Libertas flag on Monday evening ushered in the 74th edition of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival which will run through 25 August and offer about 70 various programmes such as plays, concerts and exhibitions at many locations of this suthernmost Croatian city.
Addressing the opening ceremony, the mayor Mato Frankovicć underscored the ideal of freedom in this city and added that Dubrovnik's doors are wide open.
In attendance at the opening ceremony were Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, several cabinet ministers, foreign ambassadors, the European Commission's Vice President Dubravka Šuica and some other distinguished guests.
