The implementation of this joint project was made possible by Polish and Croatian citizens who donated €1.4 million in total.
Of that amount, €920,650 comes from Caritas Poland, which is the largest donation Caritas Croatia has received from a national Caritas organisation, a press release said.
The 27 families whose homes will be rebuilt or built are currently living in modular housing units, whereby Caritas Croatia has provided housing for over 540 earthquake victims since 2021, while 30 families in the Glina area, whose wells were damaged in the quake, will get underground water tanks.
The bulk of the project is expected to be finished by the end of this year.
