The gold awards were won by family farms owned by Danijel Sinković from Bedekovčina, Mladen Cesarec from Oroslavje, and Ivanka Grilec from Đurmanec.
At a ceremony held on Thursday, the winners were congratulated by County Prefect Željko Kolar, who underscored that their success was proof that pumpkin seed oil from Krapina-Zagorje County was the best in Croatia and that its quality was worthy of a gold award.
We have become a serious destination where the world's best pumpkin seed oil is made, said Kolar, announcing that this success would be used to promote pumpkin seed oil from the Zagorje region.
I hope that this recognition will encourage producers to expand their output even more, the county prefect said.
Kolar also made a promise that the county would continue to support pumpkin seed oil producers and invest in the marketing so that the quality was recognised by consumers.
