The installation artwork was inspired by aurora borealis and polar regions.
An impressive 40-metre-long textile sculpture, surrounded by subtle light and sound effects, mimics passage through a completely different ice cave with unusual clouds and polar light dance on its ceiling.
"The polar dream symbolises the moment between the past and the future, the experiences that are behind us and those that are yet to come. It invites us to ask ourselves at the end of the year where we were and where we are going to, to leave the past behind and step into the desired future," reads the announcement of the event.
The installation artwork can be viewed every day from 9 am to 10 pm until 7 January, except on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve (from 9 am to 2 pm) and Christmas Day and New Year's Day (from noon to 8 pm).
Visitors enter the Grič tunnel from Mesnička Street and move in one direction towards the exit in Radićeva Street.
The "Umjetnost za grad" creative team has also designed two other Advent locations in Zagreb - Bela IV Park and Grič Park.
