The largest film project ever filmed in Zagreb began in Radićeva Street on 22 October and shooting will last 50 days. Kate Beckinsale, who became famous in the film "Pearl Harbour" is in the role of an agent who, faced with blackmail by terrorists, must decide between loyalty to the motherland and saving her husband.
The decision to shoot the film here was made after the French director visited Zagreb. Morel is known for a number of successful films - "96 Hours" with Liam Neeson, "From Paris with Love" with John Travolta, "Peppermint" with Jennifer Garner, "District 13" produced by Luc Besson.
"Pierre fell in love with Zagreb, he liked how small the city is, how the traffic is organised and that he will be able to film at night because the entire film takes place in one night," said the producer of MP film production, Igor A. Nola.
More than 350 Croatian film industry workers are engaged in the project, which, according to producer Vanja Sremac, is 95 percent of the total crew. More than 1,200 extras will be hired, and even two author positions are held by Croatian filmmakers, costume designer Nikolina Kostanjšek and mask and special effects master Tatjana Tomšić, said Sremac.
Mia Pećina Drašković, head of the Zagreb Film Office, said that this is the most complex film project so far in Zagreb, adding that 14 Croatian actors will also be featured in the film.
