ZAGREB, 29 Sept (Hina) - Croatia started taking part in the European Union's Erasmus programme in 2011 and since then until the end of 2021, 115,000 beneficiaries from the country have participated in 4,410 projects, worth €214 million, within Erasmus.

In the new programme period, which runs through 2027, funds under Erasmus amount to more than €28 billion, the head of the Croatian Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, Antonija Gladović, said at a conference held in Zagreb on Thursday to mark the 35th anniversary of the Erasmus Programme (EuRopean Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students), an EU student exchange programme established in 1987.

Over the past 35 years, more than 12 million people have used this programme.
