The author of the exhibition "Croatia and the Czech Republic 1992 – 2022 through photographs," Marijan Lipovac, underscored that the exhibition presents the connection between the two countries in the previous 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The exhibition presents photographs of visits by Croatian and Czech statesmen and church dignitaries, some show Croatian-Czech cultural cooperation, support for national minorities, help from the Czech Republic in dealing with the consequences of the Homeland War, mutual tourist visits, Czech investments in Croatia and meetings between Croatian and Czech football fans, Lipovac added.
The photos show some of the most prominent people who marked Croatian-Czech relations in the past 30 years, such as Dušan Karpatski, Jiří Menzel, Michal Viewegh, Zlatko Stahuljak, Vlado Milunić and Miro Gavran.
The exhibition "Czech poetry in graphic maps by Zdenka Pozaić" presents the work of this prominent Croatian painter and graphic artist, inspired by the works of Czech poets and the works of Croatian poets translated into Czech.
The author of the exhibition, art historian Nevenka Šarčević, said that Zdenka Pozaić has been working on poetry-graphic maps since 1981.
The exhibitions are open until 17 September and are being held with the support of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs during the six-month Czech presidency of the Council of the European Union.
