About twenty people cycled, including the French Ambassador Gael Veyssiere, Danish Ambassador Ole Frijs-Madsen, the head of the European Commission's Representation Ognian Zlatev and Zagreb Deputy Mayor Danijela Dolenec.
Tour de France has been held since 1903 and this year is the first time the start will be from Copenhagen.
This is very important for Denmark, said the Danish Ambassador.
Zlatev said that this event also promotes sports activities.
If we practice sports every day, we will be healthier and our economies will be stronger, he said.
Speaking on behalf of Mayor Tomislav Tomašević, Dolenec said that the city authorities support cycling as a sport and recreational activity.
"We are committed to improving the cycling infrastructure during our term in office," she said.
