Due to the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, international postal traffic has been disrupted over the past two years and it was not possible to send packages to numerous countries. Alternative transport routes should be found soon to distant countries, Croatian Post said.
As air traffic had been restricted, packages were sent by road and rail which meant that packages could not be sent to overseas countries.
As of Friday 21 January, another 55 countries have been added to the list - (https://www.posta.hr/stanje-u-medunarodnom-postanskom-prometu/8392) - where postal services have been re-established including Afghanistan, Bolivia, Indonesia, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Sudan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
Shipment of packages of up to 2 kilograms has been restored to some destinations. Croatian Post is slowly reinstating postal services that were available prior to the pandemic.
