"That amount is six times higher than the number of new tractors sold in November 2014 or in November 2015," the association's representative Franjo Dominković told Hina on Tuesday.
This is the result of a successful year production-wise and particularly of high prices of agricultural produce, he said.
Dominković noted that the whole 2021 was a good year for the agricultural machinery market owing to a rise in the sale of large-power tractors such as John Deere, Case, Deutz and Claas. The Lamborghini and Valtra brands also saw a rise in demand on the Croatian market, while Fendt and Steyr saw a decline, which Dominković ascribed to the announced change of their dealers in Croatia.
Same, Kioti, Lovol and Landini tractors of smaller power also saw an increase in their sales on the Croatian market.
Furthermore, Hittner and Labinprogress registered good trends, too.
According to Dominković, 2021 is set to have registered more than 1,000 new tractors sold and will thus surpass 2019.
The association forecasts the continuation of good trends in 2022.
