Vaccination highest in Zagreb, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, lowest in Dalmatia, Lika

ZAGREB, 8 Aug (Hina) - Split-Dalmatia, Zadar, Šibenik-Knin and Lika-Senj counties have the lowest COVID-19 vaccination rates in the country, according to a map published by the Croatian Institute of Public Health (HZJZ) on Sunday.

Broken down by region, the City of Zagreb has the highest first-dose vaccination rate (42.89%), followed by North Croatia (40.54%), Pannonian Croatia (40.29%) and Adriatic Croatia (37.64%).

The ranking is the same for the second dose - 38.87% in City of Zagreb, 35.37% in North Croatia, 35.23% in Pannonian Croatia and 32.36% in Adriatic Croatia.

Broken down by county, first-dose vaccination is highest in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County (44.77%), Varaždin County (43.99%), the City of Zagreb (42.89%), Istria County (42.86%) and Međimurje County (42.51%), while being lowest in Split-Dalmatia County (32.57%), Lika-Senj County (33.49%), Zadar County (33.92%) and Šibenik-Knin County (34.06%).

As for second-dose vaccination, the rate is highest in the City of Zagreb (38.87%), Primorje-Gorski Kotar County (38.47%), Varaždin County (37.18%) and Osijek-Baranja County (37.07%), while being lowest in Split-Dalmatia County (27.69%), Lika-Senj County (28.79%) and Šibenik-Knin County (29.7%).

Broken down by age group, the most vaccinated are those aged 70-79, with 73.87% having received the first and 69.07% both doses, followed by those aged 60-69, with 65.27% having received the first and 59.84% both doses, and those aged 80 and over, with 62.33% having received the first and 56.88% both doses.

Among those under 19, 2.22% have received the first and 1.42% both doses.
