The container library has been set up for victims of the 29 December earthquake that devastated this town in central Croatia.
The funds for the project were provided by Russian authorities as well by Sberbank Croatia and Lukoil Croatia in cooperation with the Croatian Book Night organising committee. The books have been supplied by Croatian publishing companies.
The container library was today formally opened by Russian Ambassador Andrey Nesterenko who conveyed the readiness of his country to provide aid to the quake-hit area.
The container is decorated with Russian cultural symbols.
