A press release from Sisak Diocese notes that the guests from Hungary - the government's state secretary for assistance for persecuted Christians, Tristan Azbej, Caritas Hungary director Gábor Écsy, and the director of the Hungary Helps agency, Ákos Pálvölgyi - met with Sisak Bishop Vlado Košić and Sisak Caritas director Kristina Radić.
In addition to the housing modules, the Hungarian donation consists of 27 fridges and as many washing machines that will be donated to those in need.
Bishop Košić said that Hungary has been providing assistance to those affected by last December's earthquake in the Banovina region from the very start and that that is a sign of closeness and friendship.
State Secretary Azbej said that he hoped the housing modules would help relieve the situation at least a little for those affected and to provide safety and warmth until their homes are reconstructed.
Caritas Hungary Director, Father Gábor Écsy recalled that all Hungarian dioceses immediately stepped in to help as soon as they heard the news of the earthquake, and added that this cooperation would continue.
