Sisak Bishop Vlado Košić discussed the delivery of humanitarian aid on Wednesday with the Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Croatia, Michael Dzeba, and Caritas Croatia director Fabijan Svalina.
The talks focused on cooperation and humanitarian challenges following the devastating earthquake.
Specifically, the Order of Malta will finance the installation of permanent prefab wooden houses for elderly people in the quake-hit area and will also help in the reconstruction of a parish church.
Ambassador Dzeba also handed over a donation of hospital equipment for the "Dr Ivo Pedišić" hospital in Sisak.
Bishop Košić today also met with a delegation of the Salzburg-based association "Farmers help farmers", which is to deliver aid to rural areas hit by the earthquake and also start building wooden prefab houses for the most vulnerable groups of people in the earthquake-hit area.
