The president of BGK and of the Supervisory Board of the Three Seas Initiative Fund Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczk underscored that the Polish people stand by the Croatians during these difficult times.
"The money will help Croatians to rebuild towns that were affected worst by the earthquakes. The support of the Polish Development Bank BGK is an expression of good neighbourly and "three seas" cooperation with Croatia. We have special relations with Croatia, including with the HBOR development bank due to the close cooperation between the states and the banks in the Three Seas Initiative Fund," underscored Daszyńska-Muzyczka.
The Three Seas Initiative was launched in 2015 by Polish President Andrzej Duda and his Croatian counterpart Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. Last year Croatia made public its declaration on joining the Three Seas Initiative Fund which was initiated and is co-founded by BGK, as its main stakeholder. Croatia has actively participated in the establishment and work of the fund from the very start through HBOR.
Croatian Ambassador to Poland Tomislav Vidošević thanked BGK for its solidarity and support.
"With numerous initiatives Polish institutions and Polish citizens have shown solidarity with the cities of Petrinja and Sisak and with Croatian citizens affected by the devastating earthquake that struck Croatia on 29 December last year," Vidošević said.
Croatia has been offered with assistance from the European Commission, EU member states and countries that are not members of the EU. BGK motivates other Polish companies to support Croatians in reconstructing the cities that were most affected by this disaster.
