Seven percent of schools chose Model B -- a combination of classroom learning with online instruction, and 0.29% schools chose Model C -- distance learning.
"This means that the whole preparation, the instructions we made, the communication with headmasters, with all those responsible in the education system was done well and in a timely manner. Even in these COVID-19 circumstances, we will start the new school year with the ambition that our pupils get quality education," the Prime Minister underscored in Pribislavec, Medjimurje County.
Plenkovic said that local and state authorities had been involved in the construction of the school in that village near Cakovec.
He underscored that of the 313 pupils in that school, as many as 70% were members of the Roma minority.
"One of the main principles of our programme is to enable all ethnic minority members in Croatia to get quality education, to be a part of our education system. When it comes to Roma children, we must make additional steps to keep the children in the system until the end of their education," he said.
He added that all members of ethnic minorities participated in the government, so it was especially important to him that this year a special office had been established in the Science and Education Ministry which would deal with the education of ethnic minorities.
