Author: Marija Šestan;Lana Lončarić

ZAGREB, Aug, 29 (Hina) - The 67th edition of the Pula Film Festival officially opens tonight with adherence to all epidemiological measures and without a high-risk mass gathering, Festival's director Gordana Restovic told a press conference in Pula on Saturday.

Instead of taking place in July, this year's edition of Pula Film Festival was put back to the end of August due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"A global challenge is ahead of us that has introduced new patterns of behaviours to our business and private lives. Faced with those new conditions, the Festival has made an effort to maintain the tradition of (...) screening films in Arena," said Restovic.

There are 16 feature films in the Festival's competition programme: six Croatian films and ten minority co-productions, said Festival's art director Zlatko Vidackovic.

In accordance with the epidemiological measures for the 67th Pula Film Festival agreed by the Civil Protection Headquarters of Istria County.

Visitors can use five entrances into the Arena, and can take their seats from 7 p.m. every day. Hand sanitisers will be placed in a prominent position at each of the entrances. Visitors are required to sanitise their hands, after which they will proceed to provide their personal information via an audio recording.

Visitors are required to wear face masks while entering and exiting the Arena, and can take them off for the duration of the screening, the festival organisers said.
