President Zoran Milanovic, under whose auspices this year's event was held, presented Zorica with a gold ring with the Croatian coat-of-arms and a sabre.
This year's tournament took place with coronavirus protection measures, which was why only 2,000 spectators watched instead of the usual 10,000.
Among those present were President Milanovic, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandrokovic, Veterans Minister Tomo Medved, Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic Radman, Defence Minister Mario Banozic, Agriculture Minister Marija Vuckovic and Culture Minister Nina Obuljen Korzinek.
The annual event commemorates a victory achieved by 700 Croatian defenders of Sinj, about 30 kilometres inland from the southern coastal city of Split, against 60,000 Ottoman soldiers on August 14, 1715.
The Sinjska Alka tournament was inscribed on UNESCO's world intangible cultural heritage list in 2010.
