According to an explanation of the ministry's decision, the film seeks to attract the attention of young people and sensitise them to different forms of intolerance and discrimination. It will also encourage them to think and take positive action.
The film was the absolute winner at last year's Pula Film Festival and has received more than 15 awards.
The film is the story of a woman who rescued thousands of Serb children from Ustasha-run concentration camps in Croatia during the Second World War.
