UNICEF said in a press release that it would procure prioritised protective and medical equipment (suits, masks, gloves, respirators) that are essential to save human lives.
UNICEF added that it has launched programme activities with the intention of maintaining remote learning and for children's adaptation to difficulties, for children without access to the internet and other vulnerable groups.
The aim of the campaign is to support and maintain key social protection services for the most vulnerable children and families, provide them with psycho-social assistance as well as with credible information and expert guidance to help stem the spread of the virus and support the continuity of health care, education and social services.
Now more than ever before we are counting on your common solidarity, generosity and readiness to support our mission. What we do today will have an exceptional impact on our future, said the head of UNICEF Croatia, Regina Castillo.
UNICEF has already launched the procurement of the first batch of protective and medical equipment and considering the growing needs and challenges, it has called on everyone to join the campaign.
