ZAGREB, Feb 2 (Hina) - An estimated 20,000 people visited Rijeka on Saturday to attend the opening ceremonies at which this biggest Croatian seaport took the title of European Capital of Culture in 2020, according to a report provided by the police.
The police said that there were no incidents during the cultural events on Saturday.
However, the law enforcement authorities reported that they had caught two men violating a ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in Rijeka from noon until midnight Saturday. The drones were confiscated from the perpetrators: a 31-year-old Croatian citizens and a 36-ear-old Serbian citizen.
During the day-long opening ceremonies, 70 events were held at 30 venues all over the city.
