The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) reports that the total revenues from all fixed and mobile telephony services increased 0.3% in the first three quarters of 2019 as against the same period in 2018.
However, revenues from mobile telephony services slightly decreased due to smaller revenues from roaming services. The overall roaming turnover increased, but the cut in roaming charges lessened revenues from this segment.
A continued rise has been observed in the market of TV broadcasting transmission services paid for by licence fees, and 56% of Croatian households use this service.
The Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) technology for the delivery of television content over Internet Protocol (IP) networks is a leading technology, with 52% of the total audience being pay-tv subscribers, HAKOM says.
HAKOM is an independent, autonomous and non-profit legal entity with public authority.
