The new factory will pack teas, marketed under the Naturavita brand, in environmentally friendly packaging. It will initially employ 45 workers.
The production capacity will be 400 million tea bags annually, up from the previous 100 million bags. The group owns 200 hectares of land for production of organic medicinal herbs, and an additional 1,000 hectares are owned by subcontractors, CEO Denis Nemcevic said.
The company started operating 28 years ago as a small family-owned station for buying-in of medicinal herbs.
The total investment is worth HRK 28 million, half of which has been ensured from the European Regional Development Fund.
