The head of the Split-Dalmatia branch of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK), Jozo Tomas, and the head of the local branch of the national tourist board (HTZ), Josko Stella, said on Wednesday evening that interest of the Dutch in visiting the Adriatic coast was rising.
In the first ten months of 2019, the arrivals of guests from the Netherlands to the Split-Dalmatia County rose by seven percent and their overnight stays increased by one percent in comparison to the corresponding period in 2018, the local HGK said in a press release.
The Dutch guests rank eighth in terms of the number of foreign visitors in the City Split in the said period.
