The signing of the agreement and an exhibition on the Chinese porcelain culture, which opens on Friday, are part of cultural and tourism programmes prepared by the two countries as part of the Croatian-Chinese Year of Culture and Tourism. The exhibition will feature about 60 artifacts, some of them rarities, which have been brought to Zadar from Denmark under tight security, said the director of the Museum of Ancient Glass, Ivo Fadic.
Officials from the Chinese museum noted that the thousands of kilometres between Croatia and China had not prevented communication and interaction between the two cultures since Marco Polo in the 13th century.
The China Ceramics Museum is the world's oldest, greatest and among most important ceramics museums with a collection of 40,000 objects.
