The Office is housed on the premises of the Osijek-Baranja County Development Agency in Brussels and its work will be financed by all five counties. It will be run by Toni Zufic of Osijek-Baranja County and its staff will include advisers from the other counties.
Its opening was welcomed by the European Commission Vice President-elect Dubravka Suica and Croatian MEPs, including Karlo Ressler, Zeljana Zovko, Ruza Tomasic, Fred Matic and Valter Flego.
The chairman of the Osijek-Baranja County Assembly, Dragan Vulin, said that the five counties were connected by projects of importance for the development of eastern Croatia and that their representation in the European institutions was the continuation of their successful cooperation.
