There will be over 500 various events, including 80 street performances, over 30 concerts and other entertainment events and workshops during the festival that will run through September 1.
The organisers -- the city administration and the local tourist board -- say on the festival's official website that during the ten days of Spancirfest, the streets, squares, palaces, parks, gardens, and courtyards of Varazdin will "become stages, theatres, restaurants, bars, clubs, classrooms, and shops at the largest, most popular and most diverse Croatian festival."
Bozo Vreco, Bosnian musician singing sevdalinka, jazz, blues and soul, and the legendary founder of the Gipsy Kings Paco Bailardo will hold concerts on the first day of the festival.
Some of the stars to give concerts at various stages in the city are Tony Cetinski, Goran Bare, Elemental, Vojko V, Meritas, The Frajle, Gustafi, Silente, Detour, Neki to vole Vruće, Ricardo Luque, the Dzambo Agusevi Orchestra and Rambo Amadeus.
