ZAGREB, May 3 (Hina) - Health Minister Milan Kujundzic opened a new operating theatre for cardiac surgery in the Department for Cardiovascular Diseases at the Clinical Hospital Centre (KBC) in the eastern city of Osijek on Friday, saying that one of the main government projects for that part of Croatia was to build a new clinical hospital centre in Osijek within the next few years.
"I am very pleased to see that yet another valuable facility has been equipped for the benefit of people in this part of Croatia," Kujundzic said.
KBC director Zeljko Zubcic said that the planned cost of refurbishing and equipment was HRK 5 million (EUR 676,000), and that they had managed to reduce it to HRK 4.2 million (EUR 567,000) during the public procurement process.
