In the world full of many and diverse nations, it is the national culture that is a fundamental value that makes us recogniseable, which is extremely important in the era of globalisation. Furthermore, it provides us with feeling of stability, security and faith in our own potentials, power, creativity and possibility of progress, the president said.
She said that during her ambassadorial terms in the United States and Canada, she could see how it was important to preserve the linguistic identity for Croat communities in those countries.
An Open Doors Day entitled “Croatian – My Language” was held at the Office of the President of the Republic, in support of persons who are learning Croatian as their second language, and the president thanked them for opting for learning the Croatian.
