After receiving the ACI/ASQ award in 2017 for the greatest improvement, Zagreb's airport won the quality of service award in 2018.
ASQ is a programme of assessing the quality of airport services and is a global leader in benchmarking passenger satisfaction through 37 key indicators of success. Surveys are conducted by certified agents who interview passengers at airports. The award presentation ceremony will be held during a global summit in Bali in September this year.
"This exceptional achievement testifies to the importance of and commitment to excellence in providing services to passengers that everyone at the Franjo Tudjman Airport has set as a priority in their everyday work," a press release said.
"This is the continuation of our excellent results and an excellent introduction to the second anniversary of the new passenger terminal coming up soon, in which we have recorded a steady growth in traffic. We are particularly pleased with this award and pledge that we will continue to provide quality services for our passengers," the president of the airport's management board, Huseyin Bahadir Bedir, said.
Since the beginning of the concession period for the Zagreb airport, the airport has generated an increase in traffic of 36% and the arrival of 15 new airlines with regular flights. Today Zagreb is connected with 46 direct destinations in Croatia, Europe and the rest of the world, the press release said.
