This year, the parade celebrated its 12th anniversary with a record turnout of 15,000 attendees at Suntec City, uniting persons with disabilities, caregivers, and the public in a show of support. Announced at the parade was a Leadership Development Programme for people with disabilities, aiming to cultivate 50 leaders in three years, with mentorship and professional skills development for workplace success. Additionally, a 4 million Singapore dollars (2.78 million euros) grant from Temasek Foundation will bolster training in independent living, health, and lifelong learning for people with disabilities.
