The Spanish Ministry of Consumption has imposed a fine of 179 million euros on the airlines Ryanair, Vueling, Easyjet, Norwegian and Volotea for unfair commercial practices such as charging extra for hand baggage or charging for adjacent seats when one of the passengers is a dependent. The largest fine was imposed on Ryanair with 107.77 million euros, followed by Vueling with a fine of 39.26 million euros, EasyJet received a fine of 29.09 million euros, Norwegian with 1.61 million euros and Volotea with 1.18 million euros, according to the Ministry of Consumption.
