Georgia held parliamentary elections on 26 October. Almost 20 parties competed for seats in the country's highest legislative body, which consists of 150 deputies. The ruling Georgian Dream party, which has been in power for 12 years in a row, won with the 54.3 percent of the vote. Several parties announced a boycott of parliament, and the opposition Coalition for Changes refused parliamentary mandates and state funding.
