epa11714754 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Luminita Odobescu accompanied by the head of the Permanent Electoral Authority, Toni Grebla (not pictured), attends a joint press conference on 2024 Romanian presidential elections at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in Bucharest, 11 November 2024. Up to 13.500 Romanian citizens will vote outside Romania, from which some 7.000 will use postal voting. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize 950 polling stations abroad for the presidential and parliamentary elections later this year. In Spain, where catastrophic floods occurred, it was necessary to move some polling stations, and the new addresses are to be communicated to voters locally. The ninth presidential election in Romania will be held on 24 November 2024, with a second round planned for 8 December 2024. The parliamentary elections will be held on 1 December 2024.
