ZAGREB, June 12 (Hina) - Croatia's pension allowances are lower than in other EU member states, however, the biggest threat lies in the future - the risk that due to an ageing population Croatia will not be able to protect the elderly from poverty, it was said at a presentation of a report on the adequacy of pensions in 2018, a report on population ageing in 2018, and new recommendations for Croatia within the framework of the European Semester process.
