The eighth edition of the festival will be opened by a concert of Slovenia's Amael piano trio in the Split City Museum in that biggest Croatian Adriatic city.
The focus of the second day of the festival on 28 August will be put on "Hommage a Schubert".
On 1 September, the ZOOV-COOL ensemble will perform, and the festival ends on 1 September with a concert dedicated to Claudio Monteverdi.
In the past seven years, over 230 Croatian and foreign musicians took part in this annual event, with the festival audience growing to 7,000.
MAGfestival has won the EFFE label, for its artistic commitment, community involvement and international and global outlook. EFFE stands for Europe for Festivals Festivals for Europe.
