BBC Three launching reality series set in Croatia

ZAGREB, Aug 16 (Hina) - BBC Three, the online channel of the British Broadcasting Corporation, is launching a new reality series titled, "Croatia 2017: The Brits Are Coming", British media outlets have reported.

The new series starts on Monday.

The Sun tabloid has reported that the BBC Three show is said to centred around the "debauched antics of youngsters in Europe's hottest new party resort", Novalja - a city on the island of Pag and "Zrce" its pebble beach for partygoers.

Some of the characters that will feature in Croatia 2017 include young DJs heading out for their first Croatian DJ set, to a young girl on her first foreign holiday, and an army lad who has spent the last two months living with his parents to save up and many more set to visit the island.

BBC Three Controller Damian Kavanaugh was quoted by the media outlets as promising that the project would feature a multi-media approach and will "utilise all of BBC Three’s platforms with tailored content across each one".

"This will be an authentic series of films exploring the real lives of young people today and will build on the innovative approach BBC Three has to documentary storytelling,"Kavanaugh added.

Young Brits across the UK are packing their bags for a holiday of a lifetime - two weeks of sun, sea and sand in the increasingly popular party destination: Croatia.

BBC Three will be live in Croatia where viewers can expect guaranteed British banter, unexpected holiday drama and maybe even some summer romances.

BBC Three was launched in February 2003 as a replacement for BBC Choice, the service's remit was to provide innovative programming to a target audience of viewers between 16 and 34 years old, leveraging technology as well as new talent.
