Revellers form over a hundred countries will enjoy the programmes prepared by DJs including Adam Beyer, AfroJack, Armin Van Buuren, Axvell a Ingrosso, Carlcox, David Guetta, Dubfire, Hardwell, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Martin Garrix, Nic Fanciulli, Sasha John Digweed, DJ Snake, Steve Angello, Tiesto, Steve Aoki and so on.
The first three-day part of the festival is taking place in Split and then the event is being "relocated" to the Zlatni Rat beach on the island of Brac on July 17, to the island of Hvar on July 18 and finally to the island of Vis on July 19.
Tight security measures are in place and stepped up security checks are being conducted at the stadium.
126 taken to police station for illegal drug possession
On Saturday morning the police reported that the first night of the festival had passed without any major incident. According to official statistics, 21 party-goers were taken to hospital, and 126 were taken to police stations for possession of illegal narcotics.
The director of the Split Tourist Board, Alijana Vuksic, has recently stated that according to eVisitor data, in the three days of the festival in Split last year there were 75,213 bed nights recorded and that 150,000 visitors attended the festival during the seven days that it lasted.
