ZAGREB, June 23 (Hina) - The newly elected mayor of the biggest Croatian Adriatic city of Split, Andro Krstulovic Opara, on Friday met with the Israeli Ambassador to Croatia, Zina Kalay Kleitman, to inform her that in the future Split would commemorate 12 June 1942 when Italian Fascists destroyed the local synagogue, harassed believers and beat the rabbi.
