Double digit rise in Croatia's exports in first 4 months of 2017

ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - Croatia's goods exports in the first four months of 2017 jumped 15.8% on the year, while imports went up 9.6%, the national statistical office (DZS) said Friday.

A robust rise in exports continued, resulting in the January-April export value at HRK 32.2 billion, while commodities imports totalled HRK 51.4 billion.

The export-import coverage ratio increased from last year's 59.2.% to 62.6%.

Exports to EU member states increased 10.6% on the year, reaching HRK 20.8 billion.

Exports to non-European Union countries was up 26.6%, reaching HRK 11.3 billion.

Imports from EU countries in the first three months was up 6.7% to HRK 40.4 billion, while imports from non-EU countries jumped 21.7% to HRK 11.06 billion.
