The exhibition, called "War Childhood", is being held as part of the programme "Social Trauma and Resilience", organised by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights, the French Institute in Zagreb, the Sarajevo Film Festival, the Zagreb Film Festival and the Fraktura publishing company and taking place at the Mediatheque and the Europa cinema on April 18-20.
War Childhood, a project by Jasminko Halilovic, started in 2013 as a book of stories of generations raised in war and the War Childhood Museum, which opened in Sarajevo in January.
The exhibition at the Mediatheque will also include a lecture by prominent French psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Boris Cyrulnik on post-war trauma and ways of dealing with it through round table discussions, films, meetings and exhibitions.
