Plenkovic will encourage Croatian investment in Bosnia

ZAGREB, October 29 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said in Mostar on Friday that he would give his support to Bosnian Croat leaders for achieving equality with Bosniaks and Serbs, and announced that the Croatian government would encourage stronger investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

"Croatia's new government is putting BiH at the top of its foreign policy activities. The position of Croats as a constituent people in terms of its equality is a lasting task," Plenkovic told reporters.

He said Croatia was "the friendliest" country whose goal was to help BiH towards European Union and NATO membership. "There is full understanding at the level of all institutions that Croatia, as an EU member, is a key partner."

He said the government would continue to encourage Croatian business people to invest more in BiH. "This is a big investment opportunity for our companies. We will encourage all forms of cooperation in that sense."
