Croatians prefer domestic products to imported goods - survey

ZAGREB, May 15 (Hina) - Croatians prefer domestic products to imported goods when shopping in retail chains, and are disinclined to change products they are accustomed to using, an online survey conducted by the MSA Adria market research agency shows.

The survey was conducted from May 9 to 11 among 624 respondents who were asked about their habits in retail chains.

As many as 60% of Croatian consumers go shopping in large to medium-sized grocery stores at least once a weak, and  Konzum, Kaufland and Lidl are their favourite retail chains.

When it comes to the origin of products, 55% of those polled say they prefer Croatian products.

Likewise, 55% of respondents say quality matters more than price, although 35% say that the price is the decisive factor.

Every other shopper says they prepare lists of things they need to buy before going to the shops.

Nearly a third of respondents admit they sometimes can't control themselves and dive into a shopping spree.

Also, 60% of respondents say they seldom change products they are accustomed to using.
