Grabar-Kitarovic: Croatia fully supports Montenegro's Euro-Atlantic integration bid

ZAGREB, May 6 (Hina) - Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic said on Friday that Croatia fully supported Montenegro's path to Euro-Atlantic integration.

"Montenegro is ready to join NATO and I hope for a speedy ratification of the agreement so that its representatives can participate in the alliance's work on an equal footing," Grabar-Kitarovic told the press during a visit to the Montenegrin coastal town of Budva.

The Croatian president said she had raised the issue of the border dispute over Prevlaka in her talks with President Filip Vujanovic and Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, adding that the two countries should try once again to settle the dispute bilaterally before referring it to an international institution.

"Montenegro and Croatia should once again try to resolve the dispute concerning border delimitation at Prevlaka before the matter is brought before an international or arbitration court," Grabar-Kitarovic said.

She said she was confident that this unresolved issue would not be an obstacle in in the further process of Montenegro's Euro-Atlantic integration.
