ZAGREB, May 4, (Hina) - The chair of the Croatian Parliamentary Committee on Health and Social Policy, Ines Strenja-Linic, met in Zagreb on Wednesday with the Danish Ambassador to Croatia, Anders Christian Hougard, for talks on cooperation between the two countries in the field of health, notably in diabetes prevention.
"Croatia appreciates Denmark's support and initiative, launched in 2012, concerning the promotion of healthy lifestyles and exercise for diabetes prevention," Strenja-Linic said, according to a press release issued by the parliamentary press service.
Denmark has joined the global fight against diabetes and has been Croatia's partner in this campaign. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark expressed her support by attending a regional forum on diabetes in Croatia in October 2014, the press release said.
