CROPEX and Nord Pool agreed to cooperation in implementing technical solutions aimed at setting up 'day ahead' trading between the two exchanges and inked deals in Q2 and Q3 2015, which meant that from the very start CROPEX could include day ahead trading in its operations as part of the EU Multi Regional Coupling (MRC) CROPEX said on its web site.
After launching the day-ahead market, CROPEX and the Croatian Transmission System Operator (TSO) will look to couple the Croatian spot market with neighbouring Slovenia as part of an EU-wide effort to link national power grids.
