ZAGREB, Oct 12 (Hina) - The main opposition Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party on Monday evening explained its refusal of an offer by the commercial TV station Nova TV to pit its election platform against that of the ruling Social Democratic Party (SDP), saying that "Nova TV did not offer a plural and democratic approach" thus favouring the SDP, which the HDZ found unacceptable.
